NanoScale Biomagnetics

The controller module is the core of DM100.

Its powerful user interface allows researchers to schedule automatized experiments, monitor measurements and analyze results using its elegant tactile monitor, a mouse, a keyboard or even from a remote computer via Ethernet.

DM100 System Controller

  • Tactile monitor graphical user interface.
  • USB storage.
  • Optional keyboard and mouse port.
  • 19″ rack format.
  • LCD two lines status display.

nB nanoScale Biomagnetics unique embedded software, MaNIaC, helps users to program and controls experiments, records the measured data, and processes experimental results into truly useful and ready to publish reports and graphic presentations.

The DM100 Series can be easily used and programmed from the tactile user interface or even a remote computer and provides the data obtained already processed and ready to be used on a standard format.

DM100 Series Controller Software

MaNIaC is a software environment which has the dual function of user’s interface of the DM100 series and workstation for analyzing and storing results allowing the user to run and schedule induction heating tests for research in magnetic hyperthermia in DM100 devices, as well as monitoring and analyzing the results of such tests.

MaNIaC is a robust piece of software designed under usability and accessibility guidelines in a tactile UI environment in order to provide specific tools for each test and increase productivity in the laboratory.

The ZAR application analyzes the heating curves of a magnetic colloid type sample which are obtained when carrying out an induction heating test with a DM100 series device. The functions of the application are:

  • Visualization of the heating curves
  • Numerical adjustment of the heating curves
  • Calculation of the sample’s SPA and ILP indexes

The application is carried out by the application software MaNIaC which is an integral part of the DM100 system. ZAR works exclusively with heating curves generated by MaNIaC software in a device of the DM100 series, during the carrying out of a test. The curves which are generated during a test cannot be analyzed.
